  • Experience and life histories- not everyone was/wasn’t sick at the same time
  • Societal- East v West, Individualistic vs collectivistic
  • Psych and cognition- anxiety, differential activation/ behaviour

What is an example of the ID approach?

A

Belief in luck- creation of a conceptual space in which beliefs in good luck manifest themselves
What predicts belief in good luck- found that the personality construct of optimism does
Attribution of causality- locus of control- who controls your life- you/ the world/ god- caims to predict good luck
