What is Selection Bias?
A
Selection bias means that: your treatment group has different characteristics than your control group

What is the purpose with Random Sampling?
A
Random sampling is performed if you want/need to have a representative sample of a group of individuals/households/firms/ schools/villages.

What is the difference between Random Sampling and Random Assignment?
A
- Random Sampling is done if we want to have a group of individuals that are representative of a population.
- Random Assignment does not have the focus that this group has to be representative of a population.
- – > Instead more focus is put on being randomly allocated to different groups.
