Q

three words followed by ‘pueda’ (not puede/puedo)

A

Ojalá. Quizás. Lástima. Followed by usted pueda and yo pueda instead of usted puede and yo puedo. It’s just a wish for the event to take place, not that it will in fact occur.

Since pueda is the same for all pronouns, may need to use yo, usted, el, ella more often. Ojalá usted pueda conocerla. Hopefully you can meet her. Ojalá pueda conocerla. Hopefully I can meet her.
