The book is on the table.
The plane flies over the city.

sobre
El libro está sobre la mesa.
El avión vuela sobre la ciudad.
Hablamos sobre el clima.
Sobre (about) is a very helpful in conversation, so we included that context here so you can easily learn/remember it.
under
The dog is under the table.
She found her keys under the blanket.
bajo
El perro está bajo la mesa.
Ella encontró sus llaves bajo la cobija.
*debajo de (underneith) has a similiar meaning. It is a nuance, don’t worry too much about the difference. You will be understood easily using either one
up / above
The books are (up) above the table
Do you see the bird flying up there?
arriba
los libros arriba de la mesa

on top of
The cup is on top of the table.
encima de
La taza está encima de la mesa.
En (on) has a similar meaning. Encima de is a bit more specific that it is on top of something.
underneath
The mouse hid underneath the bed.
The caves are underneath the city.
debajo de
El ratón se escondió debajo de la cama.
Las cuevas están debajo de la ciudad.
*bajo (under) has a similiar meaning. It is a nuance, don’t worry too much about the difference. You will be understood easily using either one.
beside
The tree is beside the house.
al lado de
El árbol está al lado de la casa.
behind
The car is behind the truck.
detrás de
El coche está detrás de la camioneta.
**in front of **
The cat is in front of the door.
delante de
El gato está delante de la puerta.
across from
The bank is across the street from the supermarket.
enfrente de
El banco está** enfrente del** supermercado.
near / close to
The park is near the school.
The park is close to the school.
cerca de
El parque está cerca de la escuela.
Far from
The store is far from here.
lejos de
La tienda está lejos de aquí
outside
The dog is outside

afuera

inside (of)
The kids are inside.
The ball is inside of the box.
adentro
Los niños están adentro.

to the right
on the right (hand) side of
Turn to the right in two blocks.
The lamp is on the right of the bed.
