Explain photoelctric effect
When light of sufficiently high frequency is irradiated on metal surface, free electrons on metal surface may absorb photon’s energy and escape out of metal surface by opposing attractive force by metal.the emitted electrons are called photoelctrons.The current due to these photoelectrons is called photocurrent.
This phenomenon is called photoelctric effect .

When electrons leave the metal surface after absorbing photon energy metal suffer form defeciency of electron due to which it acquires positive charge and electron now residing on metal feel attraction toward them. So difficult from them to go away from this crush metal
