What is spaced repetition?

A

You review the material you consumed after a period of time.

Initially it is short period and gradually you can increase the period and try to recall it. Or reduce the period of repetition if you don’t recall.

What is SQ3R method? How to learn through it?

A

The method you want to learn. You do it like this.

Survey - skim through headings and subheadings and summaries

Questions - make questions using the skimming

Read - Try to answer the questions using the details to of the matrial

Recite - Try to recall every answer you find around the question once you read them

Review - Try to review every question if you can answer them without looking at the material

Explain it like you are explaining it to a 5 year old. Simple without jargon. Go back to the concepts , use analogies and understand them if there are any gaps in it.

Leitner technique?

A

Place your learning materials in 3 boxes. 1 box is for daily review, 2nd is for weekly review, 3rd is for monthly review and so on. Move cards as and when you are comfortable or not comfortable with them. This makes sure you are always working on your weaknesses more than strengths.
