A mentor is someone who agrees to advise and coach someone else over an extended period of time. For example, someone staying after work each day to explain how to use a specific program could be regarded as a mentor by the others.

Benefits for Mentor:
- Improves communication skills
- Helps career progress as a ‘coach’
- Allows them to see the workplace operations in a new light
- Able to contribute to the bigger-picture success of the organisation
