Histology - For making/confirming a diagnosis

Toxicology - e.g. blood, urine, vitreous humor (fluid back of eye), theraputic/recreational drugs

Biochemistry - Diabetic/Alcholic ketoacidosis, renal failure

Microbiology - Bacteria, viruses, fungi

Genetics- DNA fingerprinting
