A

Takes place when the learner feels that there is a need to know the information and has the capacity to learn it (A&B, 6th ed. P. 321)

  • Learner feels there is a need to know the information and has the capacity to learn it (readiness)
  • Learner is aware of the problem and recognizes the need for change
