Q

What is the Just In Time method of lean production?

A

Q

What is the Kaizen method of lean production?

A

Kaizen means ‘continuous improvement’. It is a system where continuous improvements should occur by adapting and changing production techniques gradually, in order to eliminate waste at all levels. It is that improvements should not happen as ‘once off’s’ for a long period, but lots of small steps occurring overtime.

Q

What is the Cell production method of lean production?

A

It is where the flow production process is broken down into self-contained units ‘cells’ which focus on the production of a particular aspect of the product. It encourages teamwork.
