Q

What happened in the Corfu crisis?

A

The Corfu Crisis was a diplomatic conflict between Italy and Greece in 1923. Italy accused Greece of not doing enough to prevent the assassination of an Italian mission on the border between Greece and Albania, and demanded an apology and compensation. The League of Nations intervened to resolve the crisis, but Italy refused to accept the League’s resolution and withdrew from the conference in Corfu. The crisis had a negative impact on the credibility of the League of Nations.
