What is the upper epidermis?
A
A transparent layer that light passes through to the layers below

What is the palisade layer?
A
It is the main photosynthesis layer that contains lots of chloroplasts so they can absorb lots of light

What is the spongy layer?
A
Contains some chloroplasts and has large air spaces so gas can easily pass through to the palisade layer

A
The only cells of the epidermis that has chloroplasts and can photosynthesise

A
A hole found in the lower surface of a leaf that allows gas to enter the leaf
