A leader is someone who directs the affairs of a group to achieve their goals
Define what Autocratic Leadership is
Autocratic Leadership is when the leader has full control and makes decisions with little or no input from group members

- Works well where strong, directive leadership is needed

- Miscommunication if roles are unclear
- Poor decision making by unskilled group members
- Some ideas and opinions may not be considered
- Time-consuming decision making
What is Laissez-Faire Leadership?
This is when the leader has a more hands-off approach and allows group members to make decisions
The advantages of a Laissez-Faire leader are:
- Encourages personal growth
- The freedom given to employees encourages innovation and creativity
- The lack of management allow for faster decision making
The disadvantages of a Laissez-Faire leader are:
- The lack of guidance makes members unclear of their role
- Members may express less care and concern for the project
- Leader will blame the members if goals are not met
