What are the four automation tools in Pardot?

Allow you to automate directly from a marketing element, such as a form, file, or email send.

Allow you to create a one-time list of prospects and apply a segmentation action based on specific criteria.

Allow you to create repeatable, criteria-based rules that find matching prospects and apply actions to them.
Dynamic lists
Allow you to create lists that update automatically based on specific criteria.

This action can also be used when a prospect has matched “Do Not Sync with CRM” via an automation rule.

What’s the main difference between completion actions and automation rules?
Completion actions fire each and every time an action is completed.
If you have multiple completion actions on a marketing asset, which actions run first? Give an example.
The actions that affect other automations run first. Example: Assign to User + Notify User + Set Custom Field = Assign to User > Set Custom Field > Notify User.

What makes a Page Action different from a Completion Action?
Page Actions are Completion Actions but Page Actions have a criterion “Has a prospect viewed this page?”

No.
What needs to be implemented on your website for Page Actions to work?
A Pardot tracking code or tracking code
You can also set page actions on multiple pages with the same domain, how?
by using a wildcard. For example, if you enter www.getcloudy.com/* as the URL for the page action, Pardot sets that page action on every page that’s part of the www.getcloudy.com domain.
If a prospect visits www.example.com/products/form and you have a page action set up to execute for www.example.com/products/form and a wildcard page action for www.example.com/products/*, which one does Pardot match first? Why?
www.example.com/products/form because Pardot matches the most specific page action first
NAVIGATION How do you set up a page action that increases score by 25?

Do automation rules continuously look for prospects who match the rule criteria?
Yes.
Automation rules are retroactive with one exception, what?
any changes after the rule becomes live are not retroactive
Do automation rules begin in the “paused” status?
Yes.
How many times can an automation rule can match a prospect?
You decide unlimited or a fixed number. Select the repeat checkbox. Select the number of times to repeat.
What happens to prospects that had matched an automation rule before it was deleted?
The automation rule no longer runs but the actions it had already applied to prospects stay in effect.
Can automation rules be restored from the recyle bin?
Yes.
What does the operator “is” do?
