A

N-type Silicon
A
Created by doping silicon with phosphorus. The extra electron is available for conduction.

P-Type Silicon
A
Created by doping with boron. Incomplete bond exists which can attract an electron from a nearby atom, filling one hole creates another in a different Si atom

Back contact
A
covers entire back surface and act as a conductor.
