Solid red light
A red traffic signal light means STOP
You can turn if there is a no turn on red sign posted

Flashing red signal light means STOP

A yellow traffic signal light means CAUTION
If you cannot stop safely cautiously cross the intersection
Yellow arrow
Yellow arrow means the protected turning time is ending
Flashing yellow light
A flashing yellow traffic signal light is a warning to PROCEED WITH CAUTION
Slow down and be alert
You do not need to stop.

A green traffic light means GO
Green arrow
A green arrow means GO in the direction the arrow is pointing
The green arrow allows you to make a protective turn

The vehicle that arrives to the intersection first has the right away
Crosswalks
Pedestrians have the right-away in marked or unmarked crosswalks
Emergency Vehicles
Drive to the right edge of the road and stop until the emergency vehicles have passed
It is against the law to follow within 300 feet of any law enforcement or emergency vehicles when flashing lights are on
Road Workers and Work Zones
Prepare to slow down or stop for highway equipment
Fines for traffic violations in a work zone can be $1,000 or more
Near Railroads
Flashing red warning lights indicate you must stop and wait
Do not proceed over the railroad tracks until the red light stop flashing, even if the gate rises
Stop, look, and listen if you see a train coming or hear horn or bell, do not cross
