Set emission standards for cars, and limits for release of air pollutants

Controlling global warming by setting greenhouse gas emissions targets for developed countries

Phase out of ozone depleting substances
CITIES
Lists species that cannot be commercially traded as live specimens or wildlife products
Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act
Requires coal strip mines to reclaim the land
Clean Water Act
Sets maximum permissible amounts of water pollutants that can be discharged into waterways, aim is to make surface waters swim marble and fish able
National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
Environment impact statements must be done before any project affecting federal lands can be started
FIFRA
Requires all commercial pesticides to be approved by the E.P.A for general or restricted use
