Forensic Accountant
A
Forensic accounting uses specialized accounting knowledge combined with investigative skills. Forensic accountants examine financial records to expose incidents of fraud and other illegal activity. Their findings can later be used as legal evidence in court. Forensic accountants may be employed by government agencies, accounting firms, insurance agencies, corporate security firms, and various other organizations.
