A

If the ball crosses the goal line and the Referee awards a goal kick, the goal areas marks the limit of space in which the ball can be placed to take the kick.

A

The goal area starts 5.15 metres from the inside edge of the goal line from each goal post.
From that point a 5.15m line marking is drawn into the field of play.
A parallel line to the goal line is then drawn, to connect the two 5.15m line markings, which then forms the goal area.
