A noun that follows a preposition and completes its meaning.

A word which stands in for a noun.

Subject of sentence (that which does the action)
Accusative
Direct object of sentence (that which takes the action)

Indirect object (affected by the action but not directly taking the action)
Ablative
Special uses (largely used with certain prepositions).

The extent to which a quality or action is the case.

Show a quality or action to be of a greater extent or degree.
