A

Used often in Latin music- they consist of hollow pan pipes of bamboo made to various lengths - a sound is made by blowing the top of the pipe

The charango is a version of the European mandolin type instrument, brought by Spanish settlers. ‘Charango’ means ‘ Armadillo’ in the Quechva language.
