What is the Lianos and where is it located?
Lianos is the largest plain of latin America and is located in Colombia and Venezuela. The llaneros or “plansmen” are cowboys that occupy this landform.
What is the Pampas and where are they located?
The Pampas are the grasslands of Argentina and Uruguay. The gauchos are cowboys that herd cattle on the grassland.
Where are the Andes Mountains and how do they influence the climate?
The Andes Mountains are located on the western coastline of South America. the mountains create orographic precipitation creating the Atacama desert to the west of the mountains. Also, the elevation of the mountains makes the temperature cooler higher up.
What is the Sierra Madré Occidental and where is it located?
The Sierra Madré Occidental is a mountain range located in west of Mexico.
What is the Sierra Madré Oriental and where is it located?
The Sierra Madré Oriental is a mountain range located in east Mexico.
What is the Yucatán Peninsula and where is it located?
The Yucatán Peninsula is a peninsula surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico. Most of it is owned by Mexico.
What is Baja California and where is it located?
Baja California is a peninsula owned by Mexico to the south of California.
What is Cape Horn and where is it located?
Cape horn is the southernmost point of South America and it is located at the lowest part of chile.
What is the Greater Antilles and where are they located?
The Greater Antilles are located in the Caribbean Sea and is the group of larger islands such as Cuba and Jamaica.
What is the Lesser Antilles and where are they located?
The Lesser Antilles are located in the Caribbean Sea and is a group of small islands including The Virgin Islands and Trinidad and Tobacco.
Where is the Atacama desert and what created it?
The Atacama desert was created by the Andes Mountains and is located to the left of the mountain range.
What is the Altiplano and where is it located?
The Altiplano is a high-elevation plateau, or plain, that stretches across large parts of southern Peru and western Bolivia and has small areas in Chile and Argentina.
