Lateral cutaneous nerve anatomy
A
- L2–L3 emerges from the lateral border of psoas. It crosses the iliac fossa anterior to the iliacus muscle and enters the thigh posterior to the lateral end of the inguinal ligament.

Similar to that of the femoral nerve

Paraesthesia and pain in the anterior and posterio-lateral thigh (referred to as meralgia paraesthesia)
