LAT Interbody Fusion Approach Portfolio Flashcards

1

Q

Lat Approach - Good vs Bad

A
  1. GOOD - Direct visualization of disc space allows placement for a LARGE graft - minimal muscle disruption
  2. BAD - Approach is difficult in overweight patients. Risk to abdominal viscera and great muscles. Requires an ACCESS Surgeon.
