How are women explored
-We see the struggles women face
Many of these problems are created/ perpetuates by men. E.g Raimundas friend economic exploitation. Sexual violence. Laziness. Objectos sexuales, víctima del hombre
-Almodóvar shows us the strength of women as they have to tackle these problems without men and fend for themselves. They have to constantly navigate difficult situations. Supervivientes, independientes y sobrevivientes. Alone and separated.
-But they are not totally alone as their struggles unite them and they support each other with much solidaridad femenina. Play also ends with the reconciliation and revelation that the mother was suffering as well under her husband. Familia, las vecinas. Varias generaciones juntas. Superan no sólo los retos de sus vidas pero también las diferencias y dificultades en sus relaciones.
