Two things being seen or placed together for contrasting effect.
Oxymoron
A figure of speech where two contradictory terms appear together. Sinister fairy tale, seriously funny, living dead, act naturally.
Imagery
Similes, metaphors and personification; they all compare something “real” with something ‘imagined’
Irony
The humours or sarcastic use of words or ideas.
Personification
Giving an object or thing human qualities or emotions

Explain the meaning of something in your own words, showing you understand
