RULE:
The number uno (one) and numbers ending in -uno (veintiuno) have more than one form.

ANSWER:
Before masculine nouns, -uno shortens to un.
Before feminine nouns, - uno changes to una.
e. g. un hombre, veintiun hombres
e. g. una mujer, veintuna mujeres
After a masculine or feminine noun the number doesn’t change. (uno, veintiuno)
e.g. la leccíon uno
RULE:
To ask how many people or things there are what is the masculine spelling and what is the feminine spelling?
In singular and plural.
ANSWER:
Masculine singular noun: ¿cúanto?
Feminine singular noun: ¿cúanta?
Masculine plural noun: ¿cúantos?
Feminine plural noun: ¿cúantas?
The Spanish equivalent of “there is” and “there are” is “hay”.
Use ¿Hay…? to ask “Is there…?” or “Are there…?”
QUESTION: How do you say “There is not” or “There are not.”
ANSWER:
No hay….
