What is the difference between a landscape and a landform?

What is the meaning of geomorphical?
Things like air, wind, water and living things have shaped the earth over time.
What is the meaning of Identify?
It means to name.
What landform is this?

Lagoon Landform
What do you have to apply do get metamorphic rock?
Heat and pressure
What landform is this?

River Estuary Landform
What landform is this?

Headland
What landform is this

Butte landscape
What are the lines of longitude?

What is condensation?
The process by which water vapor is in the air is changed into liquid water.
What is evaporation?
The process when the sun heats up oceans lakes and steams to become gasses and rise up in the clouds.
What is precipitation?
Precipitation is water released from clouds in the form of rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow, or hail.
What is surface runoff?
Surface runoff is water, from rain, snow or other sources, that flows over the land surface.
What is ground water?
The part that continues downward through the soil.
Define wathering
When rocks are brocken down by wind, water and waves.
Define erosion
When air, water and wind
Define Deposition
When eroded rocks are dropped off.
How do you get sedimentary rock?
Weathering and erosion to get sediments then compaction and compression to get sedimentary rock.
How do you get igneous rock?
Melting rocks into magma then cool the magma.
What landforms do you find in a mountain landscape?
Valley, ridge and peak
What landforms do you find in a Karst landscape?
Cave, stalactite and stalagmite
What landforms do you find in a Costal landform?
Beach, cliff and stump
What is area reference?
Four numbers which are used to locate a particular area.
E.g 4589
What is grid reference?
6 numbers which are used as coordinates that show exactly where something is.
E.g. 456395
What is land degrigation?
Land degradation occurs when the biological fertility of land is lost through human activities.
Give 4 examples of land degrigation.
- Loss of habitats
- Loss of Bioversity (less types of plants and animals).
- Accelirated soil erosion
- Salinity
What is salinity?
Salinity is the amount of salt thats in a body of water.
What is accelirated soil erosion?
Loss of soil at a much fater rate than it is formed.
What are contour lines?
Contours are lines on a map that join points of the same
height above sea level. They form patterns that help us imagine exactly what the land looks like.
