Landmarks of Scapula Flashcards
Superior Angle
Superior end of the medial border
Medial Border
parallel to the vertebral column
Lateral Border
From the inferior angle to the axilla “arm pit”
Inferior Angle
Superficial. Medial border’s lower end.
Carocoid Process
Raven’s beak. Inferior to the shaft of the clavicle. Found in the deltopectoral groove.

Proximal humerus articulates. Glenohumeral joint.
Infraglenoid Tubercule
Superior aspect of the lateral border, below glenoid fossa.
Spine of the scapula

Supra spinous fossa
Superior to the spine of the scapula. Small and deep.
Infraspinous fossa
Triangular area, inferior to the spine.
Subscapular fossa
Located on anterior side. Next to the rib cage.
Supraglenoid Tubercule

Greater Tubercule
Lateral and inferior to acromion.
Intertubercular Groove
Head of the biceps brachii tendon.
