Q

The anti skid control unit (ASCU)

A

The anti-skid system consists of a dual channel
(inboard and outboard) anti-skid control unit (ASCU),
four axle mounted speed transducers and two dual
anti-skid control valves.
The anti-skid system independently controls the
braking of each main wheel by modulating the
hydraulic pressure applied to each brake
Anti-Skid test The ASCU is equipped with a built-in-
test function. The system will do a continuous test and
a start-up self test. Should a fault be detected, the
defective anti-skid channel will be displayed on the
EICAS.
