A road?
Street
Motorway
Beach
Place in which public have access such as bridges, culverts, ferries.
What is the definition of:
A motor vehicle?
Drawn or propelled by mechanical power and includes a trailer but does NOT include:
- Vehicle running on rails
- trailers not designed for carrying goods eg. NZDF trailer
- trailers designed for speed
- pedestrian controlled machines
What are the conditions for a learner licence?
- Must be accompanied by supervisor I’m front seat who has held full licence for more than 2 years
- Must carry learner licence
- Must display 2 L plates
What are the conditions of a restricted licence?
- Between 10pm and 5am must have supervisor in front seat who has full licence for more than 2 years
- If carrying passengers must be with supervisor unless with spouse or dependents
What are the 4 classes of driving standards?
- Inconsiderate driving
- Careless driving
- Dangerous driving
- Reckless driving (difference between this and dangerous driving is INTENT)

What is the definition of:
Inconsiderate driving?
Inattention or thoughtless actions or omissions or deliberate ones
What is the definition of:
Careless driving?
Falling below the driving standards of a reasonable prudent motorist
What is the definition of:
Dangerous driving?
Driving in a MANNER or SPEED which was or might have been dangerous to anyone
What is the definition of:
Reckless driving?
KNOWINGLY disregarding ones duty as a driver
DELIBERATELY running an unjustifiable risk of injury or collision
Explain Section 36A Engaging in unauthorised street or drag racing with regards to Boy Racer offences:
1(a) Person commits offence if they Operate a vehicle In a RACE Or In an UNNECESSARY EXHIBITION OF SPEED OR ACCELERATION

1(b) Without reasonable excuse Intentionally POURS PLACES on ALLOWS TO SPILL onto A road Any petrol, oil, fuel or any other substance that causes loss of traction
