Site Works/Land Art
a form of art in which the landscape is inseparable from the art work. Works are not placed in a setting; the setting and the work are one.
“expanded field” of sculpture
The idea that sculpture and architecture blends to ultimately result in installation, and the blurring of humanity space and art, becoming Land Art.
essentialism
A belief that things have a set of characteristics that make them what they are, and that the task of science and philosophy is their discovery and expression; the doctrine that essence is prior to existence
Fibonacci numbers
a sequence of numbers in which each number equals the sum of the two preceding numbers (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8..)
entropy
Lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder.
