A

If tourism decreases there will be less demand for jobs required by tourists (ie. hotel workers, curio shop managers). If there are less tourists spending money there is less money going to the council, therefor less money for development

A

Slow moving lorries cause traffic congestion, air pollution from the dust from blasting and the extra lorries on the roads, steep and deep quarries are an eyesore and are dangerous

A

Dust settles on fields causes less growth, noise from the blasting unsettles animals, dust pollutes the water making it unsafe from animals to drink.

A

Hide the quarrying with trees and shrubs, only mine on half of the hillside, avoid cutting into the skyline, machinery can be placed at the bottom of the quarry (harder to see), lorries can be washed to prevent extra dust, blasting can be restricted to a certain time of day

A

The process of farming trees to be able to cut them down and use them for timber

A

Coniferous trees grow is cold climates which poor soil, no other crops can grow in these conditions. The land is too steep for farming or building. The nearby settlements provide workers

Timber is used to make furniture and paper, forestry provides jobs for locals, forests can be used for recreation
