Metaphor “milk of human kindness” - associated with purity. Complains that MB is too nice.

Jux between LM and everyone else. Separation between “them” and “me”.
“Quench’d” - metaphorical fire: passion, determination. They should subdue her but instead gives her more courage to kill DC.
Give me the daggers: the sleeping and the dead
Are but as pictures: ‘tis the eye of childhood
That fears a painted devil. (Act 2, Sc.2, p28)
“Give me” imperative. Takes power/responsibility. Context.
Simile “as pictures” -they won’t jump to get you AND they look the same.
Emasculates him, accusing him of being childish/afraid of a “painted devil”, something that’s not real.

Emasculation. Gets even harder and colder bc it is unnatural for women to take the male role. Her behavior is unnatural and that destroys her.

She is using prose - unstandard/irregular, reflecting how her mind is breaking down like the structure of her speech.

he believed that she could erase the guilt, evokes MB “seas incarnadine”. Irony that guilt cannot be erased now.
