Observation

Rarely is dacryocystorhinostomy indicated
Follow up: not indicated unless a surgery procedure is performed

Dacryocystitis
A
Redness, swelling over nasal aspect of lower eyelid with possible discharge. Pain, tearing, tenderness
Warm compresses
Dacryocystorhinostomy
Augmentin 25-45mg/kg/day in 2 doses (children)
Augmentin 875/125 mg bid (adults)
Keflex 500mg tid (adults)
Follow up: Every 1-2 days during treatment.
