- employers who fail to comply with the LRA in terms of dismissals may have to pay compensation to unfairly dismissed employees
- to implement the LRA, employees organizations and trade unions must be registered
- LRA clearly distinguishes between unfair and far dismissals

WHAT IS A STRIKE?
NAME 4 TYPES OF STRIKES?
A strike takes place is workers refuse to work. The most common reason for strikes are wages, working hours and conditions of employment
- GO SLOW-Employees show up but do work very slowly
- SIT DOWN STRIKE- employees show up but refuse to do any work
- WILDCAT STRIKE-against the law takes place without any warning
- LOCKOUT- employees are locked out by their own employers and refused entry
