When is employee not entitle to Holiday Pay
- Absence without pay on the day prior a regular holiday
- If he was absent without pay on the day prior to the successive regular holidays
- If he was absent without pay on the day prior to his rest day or special holiday that is followed by a regular holiday
- If he was absent without leave on the day prior to successive regular holidays but he worked on the first holiday, he is only entitled to holiday pay for the following day
Conditions for Paternity Leave
- Employed at the time of delivery of the child
- He has notified employer of the pregnancy and expected day of delivery
- His wife has given birth or suffers a miscarriage
Paternity Leave
Granted to every married male employee in the private and public sectors a 7 day paternity leave
Solo Parent Leave
7 Working days every year and not cumulative
Benefits of a female worker who is a memver of the SSS is entitle to the following leave incentives
- 105 days with full pay
- If qualified as a solo parent, with an additional 15 days
- At the option of the female worker, additional 30 days without pay
- At miscarriage or emergency termination of a pregancy- 60 days with pay
