Normal: 4,000 to 10,000
Exercise:
Less than 5,000=light
Less than 5,000 with fever=STOP
Less than 1,000=Use mask and standard precautions.
INR
Must be < 2. If greater than 2 consult with MD. If greater than 3=STOP.
pH
Normal: 7.35-7.45
Platelets
Normal: 150K to 450K Exercise: Less than 20K=AROM and ADL's only. 20K to 30K=Light only 30K to 50K=Moderate only
Hematocrit
% of RBC’s in whole blood.
Norms:
Males: 45% to 52%
Females 37% to 48%
Exercise:
>25% but low=Light only
<25%=STOP
SPO2
Normal: above 95%
88% or below requires supplemental O2. (Requires physician prescription.)
Equates to O2 partial pressure of 58mmHg.
Hemoglobin (Hgb)
Norms:
Males: 13-18
Females: 12-16
Exercise:
8-10: Light only
<8=STOP
Cholesterol
Total:
HDL:
LDL:
Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
Normal: 35mmHg to 45mmHg
Inversely proportional to pH
Bicarbonate (HCO3)
Normal: 22-28 mmol/L
Directly proportional to pH
