What is neutropenic precautions?
Precautions taken if the pt has a WBC count of less than 1000 or neutrophils less than 500
Neutropenic precautions include
-strict hand hygiene
-no fresh fruits or plants
-keep door closed
-disinfectant wipes for equipment
-no sick visitors or personnel
What are ABGS?

What is the purpose of ABGS?
Look at blood for
-oxygenation
-acidic or alkaline state
