  1. No horseplay and be aware of others in the lab.
  2. No student should be unsupervised in the lab.
  3. Be prepared for your lab by reading your procedure for any safety precautions.
  4. Don’t eat, drink or chew gum in the lab (food may pick up harmful chemicals).
  5. Don’t sit on the lab benches where hazardous materials may have been used.
  6. Students must stand while doing labs.
  7. No unauthorized experiments.

  • Dangling jewellery & baggy clothing must be secured
  • NO SANDALS on lab days

  2. Broken glass should be reported to the teacher (there’s a designated glass disposal container).
  3. Don’t tightly stopper a flask where gas is being created (it could explode).
  4. Clean & return all glassware at the end of lab.
