appendicular: arms and legs
axial: head, neck and trunk
thoracic: area of the trunk above the diaphragm

auricular: ears
buccal: cheeks
cephalic: entire head, including facial and cranial regions
cervical: the neck
cranial: upper part of the head containing the brain
facial: lower anterior portion of the head, including mental (chin) , nasal, orbital (eyes), and oral regions

abdominal: stomach area, anterior
inguinal: groin between the pubic region and the legs
interscapular: upper back between the shoulder blades or scapulae
lumbar: midline area of the back below the vertebral region
pectoral: breast area
pubic: area of the genitals
sacral: midline area of the back below the lumbar region
scapular: surrounds the scapula ( shoulder blades) on the back
sternal: anterior central part of the trunk
umbilical: contains the naval (belly button) located at the center of the abdomen
vertebral: midline area of the back below the interscapular region and above the lumbar region
