Q

What is the difference btwn analog and digital signals?

A
  • analog signals are continuous, meaning there are no gaps in info (EX: body temp and weight)
  • digital signals are discreet, meaning that there are gaps in info

Q

The voltage signal is then sent to the powerlab, and is processed through what?

A
  • Amplification - amplitudes are being increased
  • Filtering - makes the signal cleaner, gets rid of the noise
  • Sampling - converts signal from analog to digital, allows data to be displayed

Q

What are digital signals influenced by?

A

sampling rate - the higher the sampling rate, the less gaps in info; the smaller the sampling rate, the more gaps in info
