they can raise there head - gross skills can grasp adults hand - fine motor skills.
what can an infant do at the age of 3 months
they can lift there head and chest- gross can hold a rattle for a brief time - fine
what can infants do at 6 months old
have a straight back while walking or sitting - gross will reach and grab when a small toy is offered - fine
what can infants do at 9 months old
they can maintain a sitting position,standing, holding onto furniture attempt to crawl, can let go of objects or hand them to someone
what can infants do at 12 months old
they can sit from a lying down position stand alone for a few minutes “cruises” alongside the furniture for support - gross pick up small objects with a pincer movement points with finger build a few bricks - fine
what can infants do at 1-2 years old
kneel without support can stop and squat to pick up toys at 18 months - gross put small objects into a bottle points to known items - fine.
what can a 3-4 year old do
walk backwards and sideways ride a tricycle, climb stairs - gross control a pencil using thumb and first two fingers can cut paper with scissors
What can a 4-5 year old do
they can balance and walk along a line stand , walk run and tiptoe- gross they can hold and use a pen in adult fashion theread a bead on a lace.
what can a 5-6 year old do
They can hop forward on each foot separately good coordination increased agility skipping- gross good pencil control use a knife to cook.
what can a 6-7 year old do
they can confidently jump gaining agility and be running hop on balance ride a two-wheeled bike - gross write simple stories
