What is the problem with aspiration?
Could give false negatives (may be due to needle blockage)
What should you check for aspiration? (3)
- check for the “peg” on the needle end of the inside of the syringe barrel
- check bung
- check the plunger
Where should the bevel be placed?
Black bit should be on the side nearest the tooth
