the NS can be broken down in which parts?
CNS: brain, spinal cord, and retina
PNS: somatic and autonomic
PNS broken down to?
-somatic: motor and touch nerves (come from spinal cord and brain)
-autonomic: sympathetic (thoracic) and parasympathetic (cranial and sacral)
autonomic NS parts oppose each other, one side slows heart (para) and one accels (symp)
