Q
where can you find epithelial cells
- what are two types and what do they do
REVIEW
A
- epithelial cells line surface, cativies, and organs
- underneath epithelials there is connective tissue
many types:
* Protective epithelial cell layers on the surface of the organism (skin)
* Absorptive epithelial cells lining a cavity of the organism (digestive tract)

Q
Epithelial structure and function requires junctional complexes
what are junctional complexes?
what are the 4 classes of junctions and what junctions fit in each class?
A
- REVIEW
- Tight junctions:
- tight junction = seals the gap between epithelial cells - cell-cell anchoring junctions
- adherens junction: connects actin filament bundle in one cell
