crime survey for england and wales. victim survey which aims to complement the annual police statistics. the CSEW suggests crime is higher than what police recorded crime suggests.

what is the use of CSEW?
A
- focuses on victims of crime (victim profiling)
- focuses on circumstances of criminal incident and behaviour of the criminal offender
- helps to estimate extent of domestic violence, stalking, sexual offences

- 829,000 incidences were reported where the victim was aged 10-15years
- 1.3million violent incidents reported in 2015, 2% decrease from the previous year
