ctg cardiotograph - of normal baby okay - HIGHLY SENSITIVE
poorly specific - abnormal onlu in a few hypoxic babies
so to avoid fetal distress caused c sections, need to check CTG findings with FBS
FBS ph and base XS result containdications in infection - HIV, heb b fetal bleeding disorder less than 32 weeks prematurity
