- A place where you can be alone with God. The best time for quiet time is the morning. It must be regular – an integral part of your daily routine

Six Steps for an effective Quiet time
a.) Pray to begin
pray thanking the Lord for another day, thank Him for who He is, What He has done and what He can and will do.
b.) praise and worship
Exodus 34:8 KJV
And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.
c.) Ask God to speak to you using (Ps 119:18 and Eph 1:16-17
Step 1: Read
Read the passage and expect God to speak to you from it.
Exodus 34:10
And he said…
a.) Systematic order (book by book)
b.) Read a few verses of a book at a time
c.) Take the passage suggested in your daily guide
d.) Any verse you feel led by God
Step 2: Meditate
- Think through, ponder over, soberly reflect on what you have read for a
while.
Psalm 119:148 KJV
Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.
Step 3: Use your Bible Reading Guide
- Now refer to your daily reading guide, You will get further ideas about the passage.
Step 4: Write down lessons
- Write down in your notebook any points or lessons you have learnt from the day’s passage
which you will like to remember as God’s message to you that day
Step 5: Pray to end
- Finish with prayer, turning sentences from the passage into your own prayers and thanking God for what He has taught you. Remember to pray for your Church, your Pastors and the general work of God
Step 6: Memory Verse
- Write out the verse that particularly brings out the lesson for the day and
memorize it.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Step 7: ** Be a doer of the Word**
- God has spoken to you. Now you need to do something about what He says
James 1:22 KJV
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
