Endoplasmic Reticulum

A

Irregular maze of interconnected spaces enclosed by a single membrane. Entry point to secretary pathway. Rough ER= abundant in human cells active in lipid soluble compounds.
Sarcoplasmic reticulum= important in muscle contraction

A

Flat appearance. Receives proteins and lipids as cargo from ER. Modifies them. Creates lysosomes and transports lipis around the cell.
